Loti — Personal Financial Harness

Loti is a personal financial harness designed to help Canadians understand their money and make better financial decisions. It brings spending, budgets, cash flow, and financial goals into one clear picture, then helps make sense of what is happening and what deserves attention. Instead of simply showing numbers, Loti aims to be a trusted financial companion that keeps track of the details and helps people move forward with confidence.

Why it matters

Loti explores a more useful model for personal finance software: not another passive dashboard, but a persistent financial harness that can maintain context, perform evidence-backed analysis, and help carry decisions through safely. It is also a demanding private product to dogfood across bank integrations, financial calculations, agent boundaries, privacy, reliability, and production operations.

Lotto Pool - Escape the Cubicle

EscapeTheCubicle.ca is a Next.js application I built to replace spreadsheets and scattered group messages for a workplace lottery pool. Its member and admin interfaces bring rounds, contributions, tickets, balances, and results together in one shared place. I use the system to operate our lotto pool today. It gives members a clear view of the pool while making the recurring administration much easier to manage.

Why it matters

What began as a way to replace spreadsheets and fragmented messages now supports a real, active lottery pool. Members get better visibility into the pool, while the organizer has a more consistent way to manage participation, money, tickets, and results. Opening the system to requests from other groups is the next step in proving that the model can work beyond its original pool.

Owen.is - Personal Website

Owen.is is my personal portfolio: a dark, responsive website that brings together my work in people operations, business analysis, automation, photography, and product building. The “Owen is…” structure organizes projects, skills, career milestones, credentials, and photography without reducing the whole story to a résumé.

Next.js 16TypeScriptReact 19Tailwind CSS 4

Why it matters

Owen.is gives me one credible place to share how I think and what I build. It also serves as a practical test bed for content management, media optimization, responsive design, accessibility, and launch guardrails.

OwenX.ai

OwenX.ai is an in-progress system for discovering local businesses, assessing website issues, and coordinating AI-assisted website rebuilds. Its current codebase includes business discovery, a weighted scoring engine, multi-agent enhancement workflows, previews, approval checkpoints, and deployment tooling. It remains an active build and is not presented here as having proven customer outcomes.

Why it matters

OwenX.ai gives me a practical environment for working on business discovery, scoring models, orchestrated agents, review checkpoints, and deployment automation. Its portfolio value comes from the implemented system and lessons learned, not unverified adoption or conversion metrics.

Misty — Personal AI Companion

Misty is my personal AI companion and the connective tissue between many of the systems I use every day. I talk with her through Telegram, but her work reaches much further: she helps operate my smart home, security cameras, home network, servers, automations, research, and software projects. She remembers how my environment works, notices when something needs attention, investigates problems, carries work through to completion, and reports back in plain language. The result feels less like opening a chatbot and more like working with a trusted technical partner who knows the context.

Why it matters

Misty has become a working operational layer across my home, technology, and projects. She reduces the number of dashboards I need to watch, connects information that would otherwise remain isolated, helps recover systems when they fail, and turns ideas discussed in chat into tested, deployed work. More importantly, she demonstrates what a genuinely personal AI can become: a trusted collaborator with memory, initiative, technical reach, safeguards, and a personality of her own.

Sage: Plant Care Assistant

Sage is a Telegram-first plant-care assistant I built for our household. It keeps each plant's watering and fertilizer schedule, remembers care history, and sends reminders with quick actions when a plant is due. Plant and nursery-tag photos can be analyzed during setup to suggest an identity and starting care schedule, while progress photos create a visual record over time.

PythonTelegram Bot APISQLiteHermes Vision

Why it matters

Sage gives our household one shared record of what was watered, what is due, and how each plant is changing, without another app to remember to open.

These are the projects with enough shape to share. There are always smaller prototypes, civic ideas, and workplace systems developing behind them.
